Hands up who wants to be a part of the Young Adult Gatherings (YAGs) planning team?!
How you can get involved and help shape and grow the Synod’s Young Adult ministry in 2023.
Following from the success of the 3 Young Adult Gatherings in 2022, and fresh off the back of an awesome time at Retreat Yourself 2023, PULSE are preparing for our upcoming YAGs in 2023…and we’d love you to be a part of the planning team.
There are three scheduled for this year (all Saturdays – 6 May, 12 August, and 4 November) and each one requires a group of people to come together to organise not only what goes on at these gatherings but also to promote them and welcome in everyone who comes along. This is a very easy opportunity if you’d like to dip your toe in the water of event planning and execution, or if you have an interest in music, technical, design, art, or anything else you have to offer as a part of the gifts God has given you.
Each YAG is typified by community, us sharing food together, the telling of stories, singing and prayer, as well as other creative opportunities that in each case the planning team get to guide and encourage as a reflection of our Young Adult groups across the Synod.
For each gathering the planning team meets two or three times beforehand to ensure each event goes well, and coming shortly there will be an overall planning time to develop how we reflect the theme of COURAGEOUS DISCIPLESHIP across the gatherings this year. Your input is so important, and the PULSE team would love to invite Young Adults to participate in leading this vital ministry in 2023.
