Season of Creation 2022

In this Season of Creation, God’s Spirit calls us to listen to the voice of creation.

It was through a ecumenical relations that I fully understood what it means to stand in Solidarity with others and build relationships for the common good. There was a knowing that even though we may be from different denominations, knowing we are part of a bigger story affirms that GOD IS WITH US ALL! Through ecumenical dialogue, events and prayers we can feel God’s gift of unity. Prayer is at the very heart of the ecumenical movement. Jesus prayed that we – his followers – may all be one. When we pray with and for one another.

As the urgent need to solve the environmental crisis continues to grow, Christian churches have been called to strengthen their united response. The Season of Creation ecumenical steering committee came together to provide resources to empower Christians to respond to our faith, each in the way of his or her own denomination, during this shared season of reflection and action.

Many voices are muted in public discourse around climate change and the ethics of Earth-keeping. These are voices of those who suffer the impacts of climate change. These are voices of people who hold generational wisdom about how to live gratefully within the limits of the land. These are voices of a diminishing diversity of more-than-human species. It is the voice of the Earth!

“I have heard their cry…I know their sufferings…Come, now! I will send you…I will be with you”
(Ex 3: 1-12)

The burning bush is the Symbol for the Season of Creation 2022. The prevalence of unnatural fires are a sign of the devastating effects that climate change has on the most vulnerable of our planet. Creation cries out as forests crackle, animals flee, and people are forced to migrate due to the fires of injustice.

With a collaboration of Stories, Testimony’s, Actions and Prayers, this resource for Creation is heart felt, warming and super useful to use during the season of Creation. with more then 10 Churches joining together to create this resource, you feel the hope knowing many People put their hearts and souls into this resource to be used all over the whole world.

Many Churches will acknowledge the call to action and prevention on Climate Change and environmental events and worship services now and within the next few weeks. Deepen your Season of Creation experience by taking advantage of these free resources. They are creative, and done in a way super simple for many of us to use, engage with over this season of Creation.

We are not called to believe in our own faith. We are not even called to believe in the power of our churches or in the success of our own ecumenical movement. We are called to believe in the signs of God’s unconditional love, shown in Jesus Christ. We are called to believe in God. That is why faith matters. That is why faith can make a difference.

In this Season of Creation, We have a unique call to share the clear and pure Gospel about God’s unconditional love, through our words, and through our actions of truth. God’s Spirit calls us to listen to the voice of creation.
