The hopes and dreams of Act2

Your chance to help shape the future of the Uniting Church in Australia.

As a part of planning for the future of our movement the Assembly (the national gathering of the UCA) as been asking all of us to think about who we want to be as a church in the coming years.

It’s been centred through the work of the Act2 project, and while the initial consultation his complete there is still a chance for you to engage on the responses collected and have input to the ongoing conversation. The full report is available to read, you can get involved in a bible study on the Basis of Union and discern how that applies and leads us still today, or if you’re under 18 and creative there’s a chance to express what the church means to you in an art competition.

The competition closes 31 March 2022, so get busy and create something that speaks to your hopes for the UCA, what you love about the UCA, or what your prayer is for the UCA.

The project is focused on the second chapter of Acts, where God’s church is established and enlivened by the Holy Spirit and transforms the world. My prayer is we would experience that renewal as we step into our next phase as a uniquely Australian church.
