It's Your Move - || PULSE ||

Transitioning from Primary School to High School is a milestone in every kids life, and can be a scary thing as most first time experiences are. Since 2001, Scripture Union UK has published a book that helps with this transition.

It’s Your Move is an awesome resource for kids starting high school, jam packed with 80 pages of top tips, a survival guide, space for doodling, puzzles, real life stories and more! It covers many of their issues of concern, helping them to put their minds at ease and approach secondary school with confidence. The latest edition of It’s Your Move includes more space for young people to make notes, remember their primary school days, and record what’s going well.

Churches and local communities can use this as an opportunity to get involved with not only their transitional Sunday schoolers-to-youths, but also with their local schools. In the UK, many churches have partnered with local schools to present It’s Your Move to students during assemblies or talks, which have helped to forge a lasting relationship. As a result, many hundreds of churches have then been asked back to run assemblies and help out with RE lessons and other activities.

Scripture Union UK also provides extra resources along side the It’s Your Move book. There are resources for leaders and teachers that include It’s Your Move lesson plans, School Assembly guides, workshops, and party planning!
