Film Festival 2020

The Hills Zone Youth of PNP and Pulse are inviting all youth groups to take part in this years Film Festival!

Traditionally, youth groups from Parramatta Nepean Presbytery’s Hills Zone would get together once a term for a combined youth night. Each term gathering would vary in theme and program, however every Term 3 they would always hold a Film Festival.

Last years festival was themed around ‘The Armour of God‘ and had 2 film categories, a short film and a music video. Each youth group would film and submit their videos, then gather on the premiere night to celebrate the creativity of each group.

This year’s film festival is a little different.

With COVID still ever present, the safety of our communities are very important, and so the decision has been made to now hold this festival online. With this change, the Hills Zone youth leaders have reached out and are partnering with PULSE to open up the film festival. The online space doesn’t hold the same traditional boundaries as presbytery boundaries do, and so we are excited to invite all young people and youth groups across the Synod to take part in this event!

The invitation is open to film a 3-5 minute short film, following COVID safe guidelines, and have it submitted by 30 October 2020. The Film Festival Premiere will be in Term 4 this year, on 13 November 2020, to give more time to plan, film and submit your films.

Light of the World‘ is this year’s festival theme, taken from John 8:12

More information on where to submit your films and the premiere details will come soon!
