These last few days have been scary and difficult for many of us. We don’t have a road map of what we’re currently experiencing, that in and of itself can bring up feelings of anxiety , loneliness and fear. not to mention the worry we feel about the health and safety of others, loved ones and families but especially our Children.
It’s a great time to dedicate some time to our children and perhaps read a book or two. As we continue to figure out together that this could be our new normal, being able to sit down with family and read out loud to each other is could a first step of calming down the noise that is around us and just spending time with those who matter the most.
The Pulse team, throughout the recent weeks have came across so children’s books many flashbacks of the past to newly released, and all have the commonality to brighten up the day with themes and morals. Books often give great reminders that are needed to push on as well as illustrations that bring out creativity with colours and figures.
Those looking for books, Facebook Page ‘Picture a good book to Use’ shares great picture books that they have used in worship services, kids talks or for other things church-related. Or check our your friendly community Library.
A Special Reading for Children from Max Lucado: A book he wrote for his girls when they where very small. ‘ Just In Case You Ever Wonder’ To you parents and family members who suddenly find yourselves surrounded by kids, God bless you in this time! As taking reading to the next level, COVID-19 hits the U.S., millions of kids need our help to learn & eat. Many have taken up the challenge to read to young hearts allover to world to raise money for kids who need help to eat and learn.
