Helping young people grow faithfully in an anxious world

While we are becoming more and more accepting of mental health issues as a community, often it’s difficult to find helpful strategies to use when working with young people who are anxious.

This article from Rhett Smith opens up a great conversation around the prevalence of anxiety, and how it’s on the rise within our emerging generations (“we’re anxious about getting anxious”).

As a fabulous resource the Fuller Youth Institute (FYI) team have developed five practical strategies leaders can use to help young people face anxiety.

FYI have developed a 4-week program to use with your youth/young adult group that encourages them to talk about their challenges around anxiety and other mental health issues, and to work with them as they continue to grow and develop their faith in parallel.

If you are a young person who has anxiety or other mental health challenges know that we support you and love you, and we will do our best to walk alongside you throughout your journey.
