“40” | A brilliant resource for Lent

With Lent being a very personal journey it can be difficult to find good resources that work individually, in small groups and with your entire congregation.

English artist Si Smith and Scottish author Chris Goan collaborated to create the incredible “40” – a set of illustrations and text that uses a uniquely stylised approach to Jesus’ journey for his 40 days in the desert ending in his temptation, and it offers fabulous parallels into our journey through Lent.

The series can be used personally for reflection, one image each day, as much as a guided congregational experience with some added wind or mood audio in a darkened/candlelit room. It’s also available as a video that runs for just over nine minutes that you can play and narrate.
